Mohawk has been having so much fun these past few days. We started off Saturday night after Campstock watching a mystery video. The mystery video featured all of the Mohawk staff dribbling a basketball to break for the annual Mohawk basketball marathon. The marathon started in the morning with the oldest campers on the Mohawk courts, moving our way up to the camp basketball courts for the remainder of the day. The campers were so enthusiastic about the marathon the entire day that we broke the record for the longest basketball marathon in camp history. The campers went for 17 hours straight!

At the end of the night, the campers went back to their beds to find little slips of paper on their pillows. Each ticket read “YOU HAVE FOUND THE GOLDEN TICKET!! Please redeem this ticket for one MOHAWK DAY on August 14, 2017.” It was Mohawk Day!! The campers went to bed and got a full night’s sleep. Ready for tomorrows amazing day.

The Mohawk village woke up in the morning to a pancake bar breakfast with assorted toppings. They then boarded a bus and we were off to our first destination. Our first stop was a bowling alley in Syracuse where we played a few games. The kids had a blast not even knowing what was in store for the rest of the day. After the bowling alley, we boarded the buses again to head to a local park for lunch and a few games of MAL. After lunch, we headed to a place in the Syracuse mall called Fun Junction. At Fun Junction, we played some arcade game and had a blast playing laser tag. The campers were so enthusiastic with how great the day was! After Fun Junction, we headed to a different park for dinner and some hang out time. We then headed back to camp for a village campfire with campfire stories. The campers have had an amazing past few days in the village of Mohawk.

Signing off,
