As the clock ticks, the days wind down and CSL 2017 nears the end. The campers start to reflect on the summer they have had and what they made of it. The 71 Mohican campers to have come through this village in Session 2 could not haver made this summer better! Through ups and downs, hardships and friendships, this village has bonded and become a close-knit working unit to form the best village of Mohawk I have ever seen. This past week, the Mohawk campers culminated their hobbies during hobby culmination, they cheered on Tusc during the triathlon and had their own Mohawk banquet.

“The last few days have been incredible. Tuscarora did and awesome job in the triathlon and I’m very proud of them. Also, we had hobby culmination and did lots of pottery in ceramics hobby group. I learned how to make a pot by myself and did lots of other stuff. We had a great dinner for Mohawk banquet to end our day. This has been my favorite summer. I’ve made so many friends and am excited to come back next year.” - Owen F., M-5

To see these kids mature the way they have in these past three weeks has been such a joy. They came into this village not knowing what to think. Then three weeks later, are leading this camp to its highest point of fun it has ever been at! I am proud to work in Mohawk and I can’t express how much these kids care for this village and camp.

Signing off,
